Ascher Racing’s latest sim racing wheel, the Artura Pro is the perfect example of the connection between real world Motorsport and Sim Racing. The McLaren Artura Pro is a sublime example of what’s possible with cutting edge manufacturing and collaboration across the racing industry.
Based on the very same wheel you’ll find in the GT4 specification McLaren Artura, the Artura pro sim steering wheel shares many of the same components as the real thing. The Artura GT4 represents McLaren Motorsport’s latest race car, designed to dominate various GT4 series competitions, featuring a lightweight carbon fibre chassis, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and a 585 bhp 3.0L V6 racing engine. Ascher Racing partnered with Renvale, experts in electronic design and custom wiring loom solutions for Motorsports, and McLaren, a name in racing that needs no introduction to produce their latest work of sim racing art.
The Artura Pro version shares the same materials and build quality as the Sport version, with a sleek black anodized brushed finish, precision-machined automotive-grade aluminium with the McLaren logo laser etched on the face plate.

Q&A
Q: What are the main differences between the SC and USB versions of the Artura Pro wheel, and which one would be more suitable for my setup?
A: The SC version is Simucube compatible only. Despite there being feature differences between the USB version and the SC version, your choice will be influenced by device compatibility. It’s important to note that you can run the USB version with a Simucube wheelbase, although you’ll not have wireless compatibility.
Q: Is a quick release (QR) hub included with the wheel, or do I need to purchase one separately? What are the compatible QR hub options?
A: The Artura Pro wheel does not include a quick release (QR) hub. You’ll need to purchase a compatible QR hub separately. The wheel offers a 70mm PCD fitment, making it compatible with a variety of aftermarket QR hub options.
Q: How easy is it to customize the button mapping and adjust settings like the clutch bite point and encoder pulse width?
A: Customizing the button mapping and adjusting settings on the Artura Pro is a straightforward process. The wheel allows for configurable button mapping, and the USB version offers additional adjustability for the clutch bite point and encoder pulse width directly on the steering wheel.
Q: Can you explain more about the animated, telemetry-supported backlighting feature on the USB version and how it integrates with SimHub?
A: The USB version of the Artura Pro features animated, telemetry-supported backlighting that can be configured in SimHub. This allows you to assign flags, deltas, and spotter information to the wheel’s lighting, enhancing your immersion and providing crucial information in your peripheral view.
